How to Cancel Your Account
If you wish to cancel your WePlayIn.Band account and have your personal data deleted, please follow these simple steps:
- Send an email to info@weplayin.band with the subject line “Data Removal Request“
- Include your full name and the email address associated with your account
- Clearly state that you are requesting account cancellation and data deletion
- Send the request from the email address associated with your WePlayIn.Band account
Our team will process your request within 30 days, as specified in our Privacy Policy.
What Happens to Your Data
When you cancel your account:
- We will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days of your request
- Your profile, position assignments, and availability status will be removed from all orchestras you belong to
- Your event attendance history will be deleted
- Your emergency contact information will be removed
- All personal settings and preferences will be deleted
Data We May Retain
In accordance with our Privacy Policy, some information may be retained for:
- Legal compliance
- Financial record-keeping
- Dispute resolution
- Fraud prevention
Any retained data will be kept secure, with access strictly limited to authorized personnel only.
Orchestra Membership Data
When you cancel your account:
- Orchestra administrators will be notified that you have left their orchestras
- Your name and position will be removed from all orchestra rosters
- Administrators will no longer have access to your contact information
- Any role-specific permissions you had will be revoked
Additional Information
- You have the right to request a copy of your personal data before deletion by specifying this in your email
- If you change your mind, you can create a new account in the future, but your previous data and orchestra memberships will not be restored
- For specific questions about data retention, please include them in your cancellation request email
